About Vincent

PRONOUNS: HE / HIM

Vincent is a sweet soul seeking to help others find comfort in stillness. He believes that yoga is a powerful tool for allowing yourself to become reacquainted with your body and spirit. He is incredibly grateful to have found yoga at a young age, practicing yoga and meditation from the time he was ten. Growing up in a rural part of Maine, it was very difficult for him to find like-minded peers or attend studio yoga classes. He mostly studied by reading books, watching videos and learning to lead himself through various practices.

It was during this time of introspection that Vincent began to explore his identity as a queer person: a challenging identity to have in the space that he called once home. He began speaking at state-wide conferences as a high school student, advocating for the equitable treatment of LGBTQ+ youth in schools. Much of his work now is centered around holding space for LGBTQ+ folx and finding ways to make yoga accessible for everyone.

Over the past ten years, Vincent has gone from practicing pranayama and meditation on his own to teaching yoga for others. He earned his 200-Hour Yoga Certification in 2018 and his 300-Hour Yoga Certification in 2021, both at the Arcana School of Yoga. He is currently working on his RCYT Certification through YogaEd.

When he is not teaching, you can find him at home eating all sorts of fruits and veggies and sharing them with his reptile children, Loki and Thortoise.
