Dr. Elna Nagasako is a physician with a passion for health equity and community health. She received an MD from Washington University, a PhD from the University of Rochester, and an MPH from the Harvard School of Public Health. She was a Commonwealth Fund Fellow in Minority Health Policy at Harvard Medical School, with a focus on community engagement in the design of new models of healthcare. She believes data can be a driver of innovation and change and has led efforts to make the information needed for equitable care available to communities and to healthcare organizations. She has been a senior consultant to a large healthcare delivery system in the area of health equity, a medical school faculty member, a preceptor for internal medicine residents in a primary care clinic for underserved patients, and a member of national, state, and regional workgroups for a variety of organizations.
