Trauma refers to an event that overwhelms our ability to cope and respond. When we experience trauma, we feel helpless, hopeless, and out of control. Trauma can have long-lasting effects on physical and emotional health and wellbeing, as well as our ability to develop healthy relationships.
Created for youth who have been exposed to traumatic events or circumstances, Yoga Ed. Mind-Body Resources develop the mind-body connection to help youth feel safe, valued, and calm, and support their health, well-being, and learning. In this toolkit, we will explore trauma-sensitive resources to share with youth who have experienced trauma.
