Sometimes we get feedback from parents that yoga seems too intimidating to get into with their kids, and we get that. But in order to bring the enormous academic and health benefits of yoga to your children, you don’t have to be a world class yogi. In fact, you don’t even have to be an amateur, or own a mat! To safely and effectively implement yoga with your kids, at any age, all you need is an open mind that’s ready to learn. We can help you with the rest.

We have two main types of yoga to bring to your children or teens.

Chair Yoga

Not quite sure you have the time to unroll the mats? No worries! Chair yoga is the perfect way to get the benefits of yoga on-the-go. Originally developed for the classroom, our chair yoga breathing, poses, games, and relaxation are all simple to adapt to any environment. Chair yoga requires no equipment or outside experience, and focuses on providing two to five minute “brain breaks” for children and teens to use in their day-to-day. Whether your kids are at the breakfast table, at school, or in the car, they’ll have concrete tools to help them stretch, relax, energize, and focus.

Mat Yoga

Our mat yoga programs most closely resemble the yoga that most people are familiar with: moving through yoga breathing and poses on a yoga mat. What makes ours special? From breathing and poses, to games and relaxation, all of our yoga tools are specifically designed with an understanding of child and teen development, and work from a place of modification. In other words, it’s yoga that’s especially designed to keep your kids safe and entertained, and to optimize their health. Plus our children and teens yoga classes meet National Standards for PE, ensuring that your kids are supported — physically, mentally, emotionally, and socially.
