Classroom Management: What does it take to create a safe space for effective teaching and engaged learning? Find out this week. Plus, we will take this a step further by exploring how to cultivate positive relationships with your students through classroom management techniques. You’ll also learn the fundamentals of lesson planning for a children’s yoga class.
The Brain: Trust us, brain-based learning will be your best guidance for teaching yoga to children. This week, we will examine how the brain develops during childhood and how these changes influence how students are showing up in classroom. You’ll also explore developmental milestones, and apply what you learn about the brain this week to design yoga classes for students’ developmental needs.
Anatomy and Physiology: Learn about children’s anatomy and physiology. You will understand how children’s bodies change during childhood and how to tailor yoga tools to safely support children’s physical development.
Yoga Breathing, Warm-Ups, and Poses: This week we will begin to introduce yoga tools, starting with children’s breathing and warm-ups. We will also introduce yoga postures for children. Lectures will be interspersed with opportunities to put what you learn into practice with practice teaching activities.

What students are saying
Do it. Sign up. Stop doubting. Yoga Ed is really the teaching you need for your students. The lessons are relevant and the resource binder is a gold mine of ideas and lessons. I researched and hesitated wondering if I could do this training and teach full time. It was clear and simple. I looked forward to the community meetings. I access the teacher resource materials and provided lessons to help share the most meaningful lessons with my yoga students. Yoga Ed is an excellent program. Be the yoga. Take the classes and share the yoga. Namaste.
So impressed by the resources provided to support our learning. Even more impressed by the instructor who led the live check-ins!
I love how easy the program was to follow. The videos were great and gave tons of explanation.
The weekly zooms were beneficial since it was an online course. Harmony was easy to get in touch with and was very accommodating.
My only wish would have been to take the course in person!
Really like this program so far....two more modules to go!

As a former primary school teacher, now a children’s yoga instructor, I especially appreciate the focus on inquiry based learning and self reflection.
