PRONOUNS: SHE / HER
Dr. Eliza Adams is an avid innovator, problem solver, collaborator, and neuroscientist. She earned her Sc.B. from Brown University in Neuroscience and Philosophy, and her Ph.D. in Neuroscience from Stanford where she investigated molecular mechanisms of adaptive and maladaptive plasticity in the adult brain. The novel methods she’s invented for whole-brain imaging in biomedical research have been used to map the neural basis of opioid relapse, discover brain regions altered by neurodevelopmental disease, and shed light onto how fearful memories are stored and recalled – among other exciting applications. Eliza is passionate about advancing evidence-based interventions that promote mental health and wellbeing. She lives in the Bay Area with her husband and daughter, and is currently engaged as a biotech and strategy consultant at the Boston Consulting Group.
