About Yoga Ed.
The Science
Yoga Ed. is an evidence-based, standards-aligned program. Since 2001, Yoga Ed. has worked closely with school communities to effectively integrate yoga, mindfulness, and wellness into the school day.

Yoga Ed. is grounded in science, psychology, and education.
Our core curriculum is developed by experienced educators and mental health professionals who work with youth. It includes:
- Neuroscience and brain-based learning
- Social-emotional learning (SEL)
- Child development: anatomy and physiology
- Positive psychology
- The Socratic Method
- Somatic approaches to trauma healing
Yoga Ed. Research Summary
Students in Yoga Ed. programs showed significant improvements in mental health and wellbeing outcomes, compared to students who were not.
Improve symptoms of anxiety
A 2018 randomized controlled study conducted by Tulane University found that Yoga Ed. programs may improve symptoms of anxiety among students.
Protect mental health
A 2012 study conducted by Harvard found Yoga Ed. programs can play a protective role in maintaining mental health.
Improve focus and attention
A 2014 study conducted by the California State University of Fullerton found Yoga Ed. programs can improve focus and attention.
