What Will I Learn

Master the art and science of yoga education.

The Trainer Institute focuses on three topics that determine your success in your profession: content mastery, facilitation techniques, and business skills.

Content Mastery

Our Trainer Institute will equip you with the content mastery necessary to effectively deliver yoga education teacher trainings and professional development workshops. You will learn the art and science behind Yoga Ed. teaching philosophy and methods, with an emphasis on how to lead and facilitate learning opportunities.

Facilitation Techniques

Facilitation and coaching are fundamental to the Yoga Ed. method. Our Trainer Institute will teach you how to guide educators through their unique learning process, allowing them to derive understanding from their experiences. You will graduate with the confidence to facilitate, lead, and coach educators.

Business Skills

You will be exposed to both the fundamentals of the Yoga Ed. business structure and the practical skills you will need to succeed. Faculty members will offer workshops on Yoga Ed. business models and applied skills, such as presentation and pitching. We will also provide you with marketing materials to help you get started.

The Trainer Institute is a six-month long program consisting of two eight-day intensives followed by mentorship sessions, virtual lectures, and peer-led conversations. The Institute is led by Yoga Ed. faculty.

Key Qualities

  • Passion for yoga, education, and health and wellness
  • Strong communication skills that allow you to effectively share your knowledge and experience with groups and individuals
  • Ability to instruct through a variety of learning modules and exercises, based on your students’ background and skill level

Additional Requirements

  • 200hr to 500hr yoga teacher training
  • Minimum of 3-5 years relevant experience as an educator, yoga teacher or Trainer
  • Currently teach in an academic environment
  • Deep subject matter expertise
  • Flexibility in your schedule
